About Us

Bri Zika is the proud principal of North Albany Middle School. Bri grew up in Los Angeles, then completed her undergraduate degrees in music and American Studies at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she completed her honors program thesis on arts education policy reforms.

She also holds a masters degree in instructional leadership and a masters degree in secondary education with a focus on supporting multilingual learners. Bri has over a decade of classroom experience as a middle school English and Social Studies teacher in both Washington, DC and Oakland, CA. She has traveled the country supporting middle school teachers and leaders with standards-based instructional shifts as part of a federal research project, and she had the pleasure of designing and opening a new K-12 charter school in East Oakland, CA.

Bri is passionate about bilingual education, arts education, and ensuring all students achieve their full potential. She lives in Corvallis with her 2 year-old son, Miles.
